Artservis’ Collection on tour – Izmir

As an accompanying event of the international project and platform Open Studio Izmir organized by SCCA-Ljubljana and K2 Contemporary Art Center from Izmir, Artservis and its Collection will be presented in the Center.
Dušan Dovč, coordinator of SCCA-Ljubljana programs, will speak about Artservis beginnings in year 2001, what is its mission now and who are the users of this on-line media.
The presentation will be followed by the screening of video works included in the Artservis’ Collection. The Collection is a thematic project on production conditions in culture. The Collection includes artworks that refer in a critical, analytical, witty, personal or any other manner to the conditions of creation, presentation, marketing and survival with culture and within culture – to those aspects of artistic creation that usually remain concealed.
OPEN STUDIO IZMIR is an interdisciplinary project and platform with screenings, discussions, presentations and workshop with a focus on videodance and sound art. Open Studio is conceived as a collaborative project between SCCA, Center for Contemporary Arts-Ljubljana (Slovenia) and K2 – Contemporary Art Center from Izmir (Turkey).
